Rachel Zoe’s book
Let’s start with her fashion guidebook entitled Style A to Zoe: The Art of Fashion, Beauty, and Everything Glamour. The book’s hard cover is colored brassy taupe and the title alternates with black and white typescript. It’s far from tragic, and whether you like her or not, Rachel Zoe epitomizes what being a stylist is all about.
What makes this book noteworthy besides the catchy chapters (The two that I find most interesting are Lip gloss and mane toss and Life’s a red carpet) is the way it illustrates the vulnerability that comes with being a dignitary. In the public eye where looks do matter and creating an image is everything, it helps to have someone who can efficiently put together a look for you.
Rachel Zoe is more than her TV show
Rachel Zoe’s world recently turned “bananas” when her style director parted ways and who can forget the famous drama-ridden incident of Rachel’s assistant Taylor being fired for pilfering samples from the Zoe company? While both incidents make for great TV on Rachel Zoe Project’s docudrama, they do not do justice to Rachel’s ability to style fashion.
A quick look-around will provide you with clues to everything you need to know about the celebrity stylist. With A-list clients such as Cameron Diaz, Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner and Demi Moore, Rachel gives you an idea of how she fully understands the business of fashion trends, the theory in design and all the intricacies of finding the “right piece”.
Right away you notice Rachel’s vintage sense of style and her accessories that scream for attention. While her attire may not be what you think of when you think of dressing yourself, one has to notice the aesthetic eye she has for noticing the latest trends and keeping with an innovative approach. And on the Red Carpet, this means something.
Rachel’s Zoe’s success as a stylist
Rachel’s success as a stylist comes through promoting self-confidence and dressing her clients in the fashions that compliment their best features. She masters working with celebrities and magazines, managing fashion shows and working under numerous deadlines. In the business of making people look and feel beautiful, Rachel as a fashion stylist, shows that overcoming transparent clothing obstacles is only part of what makes her successful.
