Wine, hair touch-ups and mini-makeovers: you guessed it; Santana Row’s annual Fall Fashion Show was well underway on September 14, 2013. Dubbed the Rodeo Drive of Silicon Valley, all fashionistas and connoisseurs of the finer-things-in-life experienced a fashion affair at this year’s fall fashion show.
Santana Row did things a little different this year, as they produced an all-day fashion excursion divided in three sections.
Part one included the Style Stroll, in which participants, with their passport-to-style in hand, made their way up-and-down the main street of the Row, visiting participating vendors and salons that offered exclusive discounts, wine tastings from various Bay Area wineries like Testarossa, Scheid, and MJA Vineyards…
…and hair and make-up touch-ups.
Leading stylists like Kathy Besser were on hand at participating shops on the Row offering the latest style advice to visiting patrons.
Part two included an optional fashionably late lunch, in which guests could partake in a prix-fixe lunch at either Lark Creek Blue, Left Bank Brasserie, or Village California Café & Wine Bistro.
With tummies full of delicious fare and fabulous drink, guests could lounge at the Row while they anticipated the main event: the annual fall fashion show.
Set up between Madewell and LB Steak, the main street runway was in full view for guests and passerbys to enjoy. Walking up the main street, visitors of the Row were also surprised to see live models standing in various store window displays. Many patrons were heard stating, “I thought that was a fake model…she’s actually real.” It was quite a unique way to liven up—pun intended—and bring to life this year’s fashion trends.
The free fashion show was held from 6 pm to 10 pm, with show intervals every half hour. This way, patrons strolling the Row on a Saturday evening, could also view the hottest styles of the fall season.
This year, participating designers included: Splendid, Free People, Donald J. Pliner, Calypso St. Barth, Anne Fontaine, H&M, Ted Baker London, and veteran designer on the Row, Franco Uomo.
An exciting day-and-night of fashion, Santana Row sure pulled out all the stops to display this fall’s fabulous fashions.
