Kung Hei Fat Choi – Celebrate Chinese New Year This Weekend at Santana Row

For the first time since its opening, Santana Row will host a Chinese New Year celebration this Saturday, February 12th. The festivities will run from 1-4 pm in Santana Row Park. Festivities will include live music, fashion presentations, and will feature traditional Vietnamese, Korean and Chinese dances, along with many more activities.

Special guest MC’s of the event will include personalities David Zhang and Alicia Zhao of NTDTV (New Tang Dynasty Television). Patrons will also enjoy performances by the Chiffon Fu Gu-Zheng Ensemble and three traditional Chinese New Year dances by students of the Fei Tian Academy of the Arts.

Santana Row’s own Sino Restaurant will hold traditional Chinese dish demonstrations at 1 pm and 3 pm. The notorious Dragon Dance, which represents wisdom, dignity, power and fertility, will also be performed.
