Fashion’s Night Out at Santana Row

It’s that time of year again–the days are starting to get shorter, there is a tinge of coolness in the air, and the leaves are gradually changing colors from the vibrant hues of the summer to the dusky tones of fall. Oh, and did I mention, it’s time for Santana Row’s Annual Fall Fashion Show? This year Santana Row is not only featuring their anticipated fall fashion show, but they are also welcoming the season with a three-day fashion event (Sept. 8-10, 2011) starting with Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday September 8, 2011.

Fashion’s Night Out featured free in-store events at the hottest shops on the Row. Fashionistas not only enjoyed an evening of cocktails, appetizers, raffles, trunk shows, and live music while visiting each of the participating stores on the Row, but they also were treated to impromptu fashion shows that included designs by Anne Fontaine, The SF Shirt Company, Franco Uomo, Boutique Harajuku, and many more.

Special guest Peggy Tanous of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” was invited to the event to take photos with fans of the show while also taking the role of MC as she introduced The Marisa Kenso Collection. Each collection was put on display as on-lookers lined the 300-foot runway.

Patrons who dined at Pizza Antica, Cocola, and Straits had a great view of the fashion show. What better way to spend an evening than enjoying a top-notch dinner and a fabulous show?

After each show, guests were welcome to continue shopping as they received exclusive discounts at all participating stores. The best part of Fashion’s Night Out was that, no matter what section of the Row patrons visited, there was always something to see, do, or hear. DJs were also rocking tunes as shoppers hopped from store to store. A hint of New York Fashion Week was definitely in the air but in Silicon Valley style.

Santana Row is following in the footsteps of other emergeing Fashion centers like Portland Oregon. I can't wait until the Silicon Valley becomes the next fashion Mecca on the West Coast. With all the creativity and free-spirited people in this area, we will rock the runway.
