Just in time for her win at the Oscars (where she stumbled up the stage to win Best Actress), Dior released a new campaign last Friday featuring America’s new girl-next-door Jennifer Lawrence.
While the images are absolutely gorgeous, there is no J-Law fan that would think they look anything like here. In many ways, transforming her with photoshop into an unrealistic mannequin was a dumb move for the fashion brand. Almost everything that Lawrence does goes viral online because of her complete and utter cuteness, but that aspect of her that we love has been literally removed with Photoshop.
Then again, Jennifer didn’t seem to mind. When shown the images for the first time by Access Hollywood, she said “‘Oh my god, I haven’t seen this. That doesn’t look like me at all. I love Photoshop more than anything in the world. Of course it’s Photoshop, people don’t look like that.”
Dior has now released behind-the-scenes photographs of the shoot that almost tell a different story. Jennifer really is that beautiful and the photoshop doesn’t seem to be as much as we might have thought…
